STRUCTURE
AIMM is currently led by an international board, named the International Central Council (ICC). The ICC is composed of representatives from participating AIMM partners. Currently the ICC President is Pastor Benjamin Mubenga of the Evangelical Mennonite Church of Congo. The ICC meets yearly, generally in Africa.
In each country of ministry, AIMM has organized a Partnership Council (PC). Each PC brings together different mission partners. These may include national church leaders; representatives of international partners committed to mission in that country; and representatives of any local or expatriate mission workers sent by an AIMM partner and working in the country. Decisions about mission vision, strategy, personnel and funds are made in each Partnership Council during a yearly meeting at the ministry location. The goal is for full and equal participation of all partners.
New Partnership Councils can be formed as ministries are identified in other countries, and as partners come together to contribute vision, personnel and funds for the work.
National AIMM boards in the USA and Canada provide a legal framework for AIMM’s North American operations. These groups support the ICC in its leadership role.
