Preparing Future Ministry
Training leaders in Congo - AIMM provides a number of partial scholarships for the study of theology and other disciplines for church -approved students from Mennonite Church of Congo and the Evangelical Mennonite Church of Congo. Our church partners have a continual need for trained leadership to serve both existing and new congregations.
Bateke Plateau Missionary House- Generous AIMM family members have contributed funds to build this house. Once completed, it will enable the Mennonite Church of Congo missionary team, led by Seraphin Kutumbana ( pictured), to be more deeply present to the Teke people whom they have been sent to serve.
Joseph Nkongolo (pictured), Coordinator of the Development and Service Dept. of Mennonite Church of Congo, is in the process of setting up a management committee and other structures in order to begin a microloan project for his church. AIMM partners are working together to help make this happen.
National Youth Bible Camp, Mennonite Church of Congo- July 2014 saw over 100 youth from across the church gather in Tshikapa for a week, during which they learned to know each other, received biblical teaching, and participated in special events such as a city processional and a coed soccer match. This gathering, organized by National Youth Leader Robert Irundu, (pictured) assisted by an AIMM grant, culminated with a baptism when 9 camp participants committed their lives to Jesus Christ.
